This position is responsible for assisting with the driving of a culture of continuous learning and development within the distribution centers.  The Supply Chain Training Coordinator will help facilitate the identification of projects, implementation of learning solutions, training local team members, transferring best practices, and providing reporting metrics to measure ROI. This role will support the DC and Supply Chain leaders and their staff to ensure that continuing education programs are carried out effectively, motivate people, and facilitate positive process changes which will result in sustainable operational effectiveness.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with the development of learning plans and schedules, course content, and training aides to promote DC and Supply Chain personnel.  
  • Maintain training database with class schedules, records of completion and certifications for Supply Chain personnel. Analyze data and provide regular reports to key stakeholders on progress and impact of learning programs.  Show realized impact of training initiatives.
  • Assist with the maintaining of the training application including class schedules, sign-ups, and exit surveys.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of on-going personnel recognition programs. Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of acknowledgments for DC and Supply Chain personnel.
  • Assist with partnership between HR and SC Management to facilitate the Supply Chain Pipeline to encourage job shadowing and career opportunities. Responsible for maintaining cumulative Pipeline log of participants including an updated timeline throughout entire process.
  • Assist with the new hire orientation and on-boarding learning activities for DC and Supply Chain personnel.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to assist with the creation, update, and annual review of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency among all distribution center locations.
  • Assist with the maintaining of all current SOPs on Sprouts’ intranet.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to assist in the development of training modules on subjects such product quality, food safety and or workplace safety. Looking for creativity to ensure training materials are engaging and informative.
  • Assist with the building and deliverance of training programs to help team members maintain and/or improve job skills within the Supply Chain organization.
  • Recommend enhancements and changes to existing training programs and communication mechanisms in relation to learning and development initiatives.
  • Ensure learning materials comply with federal, state and food safety regulations and requirements.
  • Gather and provide data that will be used to evaluate and measure the impact of learning delivery to show a return on the training investment.
  • Assists in the design and development of new training requests, and requests to update existing training.
  • Makes recommendations to continuously improve internal processes, standards, and training solutions

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant training / learning & development experience.
  • Ability to accommodate different learning styles and engage the audience.
  • Ability to form strong partnerships with all levels of team members.
  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to analyze performance data and tie it to results-driven learning.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills as well as verbal and written communication skills. Possess the ability to clearly and succinctly present information to internal and external audiences
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Sharepoint
  • Team player, willing to adapt based on business needs
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to work on cross-functional teams effortlessly. Strong detail orientation and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize work, able to balance competing priorities.
