The FIM Trainer is responsible for training and maintaining the FIM solution for all departments in their assigned region. The FIM Trainer will remain current on the performance of all departments involved in the FIM project in regard to perpetual inventory (PI), computer generated ordering (CGO) and/or production planning.  This position will maintain a high visibility in each store to launch and train the FIM Product. The FIM Trainer will perform frequent store visits to assist store-level team members during the pilot, national rollout, and follow-up training phases, ensuring proper execution throughout all departments. The FIM Trainer partners closely with various internal and external stakeholders, including IT, Merchandising, Buying, and Supply Chain, to refine business processes, successful execute the rollout phase, and monitor continued use.

Essential Functions

  • Leads change management efforts, for their assigned region, to drive adoption of the new FIM processes and solutions.
  • Coordinates efforts of the FIM Trainers to successfully execute training, national rollout, and follow-up training for each store and department selected for the FIM application.
  • Refines business process requirements and SOP’s for each FIM department during pilot phase.
  • Maintains a high level of store-level execution of the FIM product through routine store visits and effective communication.
  • Monitors and evaluates the training program’s effectiveness and makes adjustments where necessary.
  • Keeps informed on new and relevant information that could enhance the knowledge of product users.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for the FIM application.
  • Provides technical product support as required to troubleshoot issues and problems surfaced or identified by users.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

  • Bachelor degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience related to perishable retail purchasing, marketing and/or merchandising.
  • Supermarket grocery experience required.
  • Previous retail leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Requires outstanding communication skills and a highly-collaborative approach to project management that demonstrates the ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize.
  • Requires experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with a high level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • High degree of creativity and ability to work independently.
