  • Overview

    The Advertising Design Coordinator works in teams to help implement all approved advertising layouts in-house based off of the weekly ad circular and other promotions. This position works closely with the Advertising Design Manager and Media Specialist in managing and completing projects with strict deadlines. This position will also confer with the Creative and Production teams to ensure that all projects are aligned and consistent.  

    Essential Functions

    • Incorporates approved designs into all necessary grand opening and promotional print advertisements, billboards, etc. based on provided schedule
    • Responsible for designs and layouts of print ad materials based on knowledge of layout principles, typography and design concepts.
    • Develop or acquire illustrations, graphics & images for production pieces, discussing them with clients and supervisors and making necessary changes
    • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type
    • Obtain feedback and Incorporate changes recommended by the clients, supervisors and/or creative lead into the final design
    • Assemble and prepare final layouts for printers
    • Review final layout and suggest improvements as needed before printing or publishing
    • Maintain archive of images, photos and previous work products

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

    • Preferred Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design or a related field or an acceptable combination of experience and education
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign)    
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in graphic design or a related field
    • Must have a working knowledge of the print industry
    • Must have experience using Mac Platform
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
