  • Overview

    This position directly supports Store Operations and will work closely with field leaders. The primary focus of this position is to assist field leaders in managing their stores by running analysis and reporting that provides insights into trends and variance to budgets. This position requires a high level of detail and ability to work with large data sets in understanding and identifying anomalies across the entire chain of stores. This also requires a team member that is self-motivated, reliable, trustworthy, and conscientious with a thorough understanding of financial procedures and analysis.

    Essential Functions

    Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with peers and/or field leadership in a timely and effective manner. Candidate must be self-directed and possess a high level of confidence in business acumen and financial analysis to ensure accurate and informative reporting for senior and field leadership.

     

    This position will:

    • Communicate extensively with various contacts within the field to stay informed of challenges they face and help create/execute plans to assist
    • Assist with the store expense budgets annually and forecasts quarterly
    • Run monthly P&L and Scorecard reporting for field leaders
    • Run variance analysis and trending to identify areas of opportunity within store performance
    • Create ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.
    • Complete additional assignments as required.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting and/or finance
    • Experience with budgeting, planning, modeling, and forecasting systems
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data and statements
    • Knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Reconciliation and Account Analysis
    • Grocery or Retail experience preferred
    • Excellent verbal and communication skills
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
    • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
