  • Overview

    The Marketing Specialist, Field, is an administratively strategic position within the Regional Marketing team. This position is responsible for the coordination and communication of various local store marketing programs, including: grand openings, remodels, competitive intrusion,  events and partnerships. The role requires excellent organizational and communications skills, to traffic internal and external support documentation to and for the Regional Marketing team; excellent brand awareness and the ability to project the brand in all aspects and projects; and anticipating needs and opportunities for successful program creation and implementation.

    Essential Functions

    • Grand Openings and Remodel Celebrations – coordinate behind the scenes, including:
      • External confirmation for festivities
      • Request, traffic and approve collateral
      • Coordinate all digital sweepstakes and communication
      • Manage street team and other grassroots programs and activations
      • Internal communications collection and distribution
      • Create, distribute and constantly update the master schedule
    • Support events and programs with ditigal coordination: both website and social mentions
      • Edit communications to brand voice
      • Monthly upload of events and active partnerships to sprouts.com
    • Provide general Regional Marketing team support
      • Creating and distribution of quarterly promotional kits, including coupons, promotional tchotckies, gift cards
      • Maintain inventory and replenish team large-item, brand-supporting supplies
    • Ensure Regional Marketing team visibility by trafficking internal and external “shout-outs” through company messaging
    • Negotiate, launch and provide on-going support for national partnerships
    • Ad hoc Regional Marketing team support with event and partner collateral
      • Understanding the why of, trafficking and approving in-store and out-of-store materials
      • Establishing promo codes with the digital team
      • Participate in team member onboarding, explaining team processes and resources
    • Traffic event and partnership support documentation
      • Contracts – with Legal
      • Insurance requests – with Business Protection
      • Out-of-Store activity – with Real Estate
      • Invoices – with Accounts payable
      • Roll Out Guides – with Merchandising, Marketing and Operations
    • Monitor and distribute incoming solicitiations at events@sprouts.com
    • Support events and openings on-site, attend team training sessions, as needed

    Other related duties as assigned

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

    • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Management or related field with two (2) years of experience in retail/consumer marketing, sales, or event planning preferred; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
    • Requires creative thinking, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality
    • Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends required
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Instant Messaging, Remote Connection to network, and experience performing Internet research
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, within a team, and cross-functionally
    • Excellent time management and demonstrated ability to set priorities effectively and efficiently a must
    • Strong, effective communication and interpersonal skills through email, phone, and personal interactions
    • Understanding of customer and market dynamics, needs, and requirements
    • Excellent event planning, project management, and oral and written communications skills are needed to develop marketing programs from start to finish
    • Ability to speak comfortably and confidently in front of large audiences

     

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to work at computer for several hours at a time
    • Ability and willingness to travel frequently (25% of time)
    • Candidate must live in the Phoenix-Metro area (relocation not available)
    • Carry and use mobile devices such as tablets, laptops and smartphones
    • Ability to set up for demos, including moving large folding tables, carrying up to 50 pounds of equipment, and standing for up to six hours while engaging with customers
