  • Overview

    The Programmer/Analyst II will work on all phases of the software development lifecycle supporting a variety of projects and applications.  This role will be a mid-level position, with an expectation of continuing to build technical skills with increasingly more complexity and responsibility on projects.   

    The candidate for this position will have existing, proven implementation experience in software application and/or database development.      

    Essential Functions

    • Write T-SQL code and create SSIS packages for data preparation for internal and external uses.
    • Design highly performant ETL processes and database schema.
    • Create documentation for the code and/or solutions that have been written.
    • Apply best practice and internal standards to all development.
    • Ability to trouble shoot complex issues in various systems.
    • Participate in peer reviews of code.
    • Test applications.
    • Analyze, fix, and test production support tickets for a variety of systems.
    • Perform any other assigned tasks deemed necessary by management.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
    • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL technologies
    • Solid understanding and usage of source control solutions.
    • Analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Change and release management skills.
    • Requirements gathering and documentation skills.
    • Retail environment experience is preferred but not required.


    Technical Skills: 

    • Databases:  MS SQL Server
    • Operating Systems:  Windows 2008/2012 R2/Azure
    • Tools:  Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Team Foundation Server
    • Languages:  T-SQL, PowerShell
    • Other:  SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, Visio
