  • Overview

    Under general direction this position is responsible for job analysis, participating in salary surveys, survey data analysis to ensure competitive positioning within the marketplace, salary structure modifications, bonus processing and other data and cost analysis.

    Essential Functions

    • Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements
    • Evaluate jobs, determining classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and market salary
    • Creates job codes and titles; maintains title integrity for approved positions
    • Participate in salary surveys and analyzes survey data to update salary structures; maintain salary survey data and job matching in third party platform
    • Assist in calculating and processing quarterly store bonus, while working with field team to ensure accuracy prior to sending to payroll for processing
    • Coordinates the schedule for the merit increase cycles, acting as the administrator for the talent management system, with a focus on performance and compensation
    • Generates summary reports at the end of each merit increase cycle for management review
    • Provide advice on the resolution of classification and salary complaints
    • Perform multifactor data and cost analysis
    • Supports all SOX compliance initiatives 
    • Other duties as assigned and/or directed

     

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

    • Bachelor Degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
    • Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience
    • A proficiency and technical ability in using computer and software systems including MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skill required
    • Strong working knowledge of human resources concepts, processes, laws, regulations and procedures
    • Must be able to work independently or collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
    • Ability to work under deadline pressure, cope well with changing priorities and effectively manage multiple projects
    • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, logical problem solving skills
    • Perform research, make independent analysis and report findings
    • Proactively identify problems or needs, involve stakeholders and develop viable action plans/recommendations
    • Excellent written and verbal communications
