  • Overview

    The Human Resources Generalist will assist and support management with handling various Human Resources activities. The Human Resources Generalist will monitor and assist in hiring events, investigating and solving team member relations, and training new team members on Human Resources policies and programs while ensuring compliance with local, state and federal laws.  This role will report to the Senior Human Resource Advisor and be located in Dallas, Texas. 

    Essential Functions

     

    • Responsible for guidance to all team members to ensure consistent adherence to HR policies, procedures and practices
    • Sourcing talent and building a network of potential candidates from different markets
    • Coordinate, facilitate and/or assist in all training and development activities within the assigned region
    • Assist SRHRM in development and implementation of all strategic HR management and company initiatives
    • Partners with SRHRM to address and resolve team member relations issues, including harassment allegations, work conditions, etc.
    • Fosters a positive work environment that supports Open Door and proactive team member relations through company engagement surveys and individual climate surveys
    • Consult with management to promote a harmonious working environment with all departments to build effective relationships within the organization
    • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment and labor laws
    • Conducts compliance audits to ensure appropriate practices are adhered to and are consistent in each location
    • Supports new store openings and conducts new hire orientations as needed
    • Plans hiring events with Talent Acquisition in existing markets and makes hiring recommendations when appropriate
    • Responsible for proactive team member relations, communication support and internal management consultation
    • Administrative support in reviewing and approving terminations, new hire and promotion pay change paperwork

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

    • Bachelor Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred with a minimum of three (3) years of Human Resources experience; or an acceptable combination of experience and education
    • Preferred experience in a fast-paced retail environment
    • Ability to effectively communicate across multiple departments and levels of management
    • Superior customer service experience and attention to detail
    • Excellent time management and priority setting skills
    • Must possess relationship building skills and partnership building skills within all levels of the organization
    • Strong conflict management and problem solving expertise
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
