  • Overview

     

    The IT Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting Project Managers on a variety of tasks.  Examples of this may include schedule development, task and status tracking, meeting and team calendar management, RAID log ownership and maintenance, Epic and Story updates, as well as assisting with any overall Project and Sprint Planning.  Ideally, this is an early-career position that will provide opportunities to gain experience in all aspects of IT Project Management.  Demonstrating consistent capability will result in increasing levels of responsibility, independence, and opportunity.    

    Essential Functions

    • Develop project plans/schedules, monitor progress, publish updates to those plans.
    • Monitor day-to-day resource activity and provide updates to other Program Managers, Project Managers, team members, and supporting organizations.
    • Log all issues and risks. Escalate, when necessary, project issues and risks to the Project Manager.
    • Create and/or support project communication, including status reporting, risk management, and escalation of issues.
    • Lead post-mortem sessions and document lessons learned.
    • Ensure that all project deliverables and artifacts are stored and maintained.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

    • Strong experience with MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)
    • Familiarity and experience with software development and infrastructure project lifecycles, and business planning, with a proven track record of success in multiple, complex projects.
    • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments
    • Experience creating business requirements, project plans, project schedules, and associated project materials.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience in a related discipline (e.g., information technology, computer science, business, engineering).
    • Agile process experience preferred.
    • Retail vertical industry experience preferred.
